Adopt don't shop

It is with great sadness and anger that we read about hundreds, probably thousands of puppies who are still being bred and imported to the UK from Ireland. It's easy to blame the awful people who breed these creatures in often filthy and crowded conditions with little if any thought for the mum, dad or offspring. It doesn't matter if they are legal or illegal, the breeding of animals leads to creatures being abandoned.

HOWEVER what I find more upsetting is the fact that IDIOT and SELFISH people STILL want to buy a puppy for Christmas or at any time of year and therefore fuel this industry. If people rescued animals instead, uncaring people would not breed.

Rescues are full of unwanted animals, birds and sometimes reptiles and other creatures who are waiting for their new, caring forever home. Some are still put to sleep through lack of room, some are still not even neutered before going to their new home.

PLEASE talk about this dire situation with any idiot you know who is talking about ''getting a puppy'' or any creature from a breeder or a pet shop, whether that is at Christmas time or any other time of the year.
