We have had a very busy time recently visiting the vets. Unfortunately most rescues go through a period of time when they have a number of animals that are ill or injured. A number of our hens, guinea pigs and rabbits have had various ailments and it means travelling a round trip of 50 miles to visit an excellent homeopathic vet in Shropshire. Very sadly two of our beautiful amazing hennies died which is heartbreaking as it means they spent longer in the cages than they did enjoying their freedom. We were however, reminded that they were spared the horrific journey and painful end to their life to and in the slaughterhouse.
Thankfully our rabbits and guineas have faired better and all have survived and are back to their usual antics.
The weather hasn't helped of course and it seems a long time ago since we had those lovely days at the end of May. The weather has of course affected our fundraising efforts but we shall persevere.
We continue to promote a cruelty-free lifestyle which can be the only way if you love animals whether it be dogs, hens, rabbits, cats, cows, rats or pigs they all deserve our respect and right to a life free from pain and misery. Please see our links page for more details.
