William is a minature Kune, Kune pig who was being sold in a car park outside a pub in Liverpool. Yes you read that correctly, how irresponsible some people are, he could have ended up anywhere. Thankfully a kind-hearted soul took him out of this situation and so he then moved on to live in a flat. The people caring for him there were very much aware that he couldn't remain there and they contacted friends of ours who asked for our help, we said yes of course.
William is, in my Mum's words, 'Gorgeous'. He is a bright, inquisitive, strong, clever and active little piggie who is one of the lucky ones to have found a home for life with us. As I am writing this newsletter we have been contacted about some more piggies that need our help, so William will soon be getting new friends.
Go meat-free - Pigs are treated in such appalling ways that break my heart when I see them literally going insane inside the factory farms; not able to move around and imprisoned behind bars is a sickening way to treat any animal; abandoning the meat-eating ritual so ingrained in society helps you to bring them a step closer to the freedom they so richly deserve. We have lots of meat-free recipes here for you to try.
